A Gothic Horror of a Game, a narrative to navigate.
This game was made for the Gothic Novel Jam, July 2018.
It seem that there have been some problems with the files I uploaded. These should now be fixed, but let me know if you encounter any problems.
It is an illustrated narrative adventure which explores the wide scope of Gothic literature through a branching story full of suspense and mystery.
It consists of multiple nested and branching stories which flow together into a larger narrative. Each playthrough is different and there are eight possible endings.
Dozens of characters and locations rendered in gorgeous black and white by artists dead enough that their work is in the public domain.
Playtime is approximately 20 minutes.

Install instructions
Download, unzip, and run.
There's a readme with a bit more help, but you shouldn't need it.
The first version I uploaded was missing half of its data from the zip file, I don't know how that happened, but it's fixed now.

Hi. Unfortunately I can't get the game to run. After the Unity logo appears it just goes to a white screen. The screenshots look great & I really want to try it out.

It turns out there was a major problem with missing data in the zip file. I have now replaced it with a new version, hopefully everything should be working now.
